In fulfilment of his electioneering promises made to his people and in a bid to meet the health challenges of Ofukpo community in Ekperi Clan of Etsako Central local government area, the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial district at the National Assembly, Senator Francis Asekhamhe Alimikhena on Saturday commissioned a modern Comprehensive Health Centre Amids jubilation.
Represented by Barr (Hon) Ahmed Waziri Oshomah, member representing Etsako Central Constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, Senator Alimikhena, said, the health Centre would meet the health problems of the people of the community.
Speaking further, Barrister Oshomah, while commissioning the health Centre on behalf of the Senator, asserted that, the establishment of the the facility would help to provide comprehensive care to the people of the community.
He said, it would also assist the people of the area in making patients available with the various social welfare and public services initiated by Senator Alimikhena as well as offering quality health and social services to the less Privileged and the downtrodden in the community at affordable rate.
While urging the people to continue to pray and support the Senator to continue his good works, the Edo Assembly member, noted that, he was happy that he is part of the developmental strides of Senator Francis Alimikhena.
Barr. Ahmed Oshomah, stressed the need for the people to make judicious use of the health Centre to spur the Senator to do more for them, adding that the facility would serve the purpose of establishing it.
In his remarks, the Senior legislative Aide to Senator Alimikhena, Sheikh Murktar Ilenoba, said, the facility would go a long way in complimenting the efforts of the community towards accessing quality health Care and urged them to make good use of the facility. He called on them to continue to support the Senator in his quest to provide quality representation to the people of Edo North.
Also speaking, a former leader of Etsako Central legislative Arm, Hon. Atairu Murtala, commended Senator Alimikhena and Barrister Ahmed Waziri Oshiomah for making the people proud, adding that the lawmakers have endeared themselves to the heart of the people.
On his part, the Village Head of Ofukpo Community thanked Senator Alimikhena for keeping to his promise and expressed the confidence that the facility would meet the health needs of the people of the community.
Highlights were offering of prayers for the Senator and presentation of a goat to the federal legislator by the Village Head of the community in appreciation of his kind gesture bestowed on them.
