Lecturers and non-academic staff of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma on Tuesday took to the street to protest non payment of their salaries and emoluments.

According to the striking staff: “If we go to the bank, they will say ‘if you are an Ambrose Alli University staff, go away’.

“They don’t give us overdraft. Even at the market, they don’t sell on credit to us. Professors are begging for food to eat.

We haven’t been paid for 15months”.
