The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has conveyed his concern and offered encouragement following Nigeria’s recent game against Lesotho.
The match, held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, did not meet the expected standards, with the Super Eagles falling short of victory.
Senator Enoh, who watched the match with high expectations, emphasized the importance of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup and urged the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to address the observed lapses ahead of the game against Zimbabwe.
In addition, he highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to resolve the broadcasting limitations that prevented some Nigerians from watching the national team in action. He urged the NFF to register Nigeria’s dissatisfaction with the appropriate authorities to avoid a repeat of the situation.
Despite the challenges, Senator Enoh rallied support for the Super Eagles, urging them to exhibit sharper gameplay throughout the remaining qualifying series.
