Kidnapped Edo NBA member regains freedom

A member of the Nigeria Bar Association NBA, Joshua Oseluanamen Anebuokhae, Esq has been released by his abductors on Tuesday night September 19, 2023.
Publicity Secretary of the body, Festus Osagie, Usiobaifo, Esq., in a statement said the Chairman of the NBA and Team thank the entire members of the Lion Bar, and all those involved in securing the safe release of our Colleague, for the display of camaraderie during the period of trial.
The statement reads,” to the glory of God Almighty, I have the kind permission of the leadership of the Benin Bar to announce the release and return of our Colleague, Joshua Oseluanamen Anebuokhae, Esq.
“Meanwhile, the Chairman has spoken to a close family member who confirmed that Mr. Joshua is in good spirits.
” The Chairman and team appreciate the entire members of the Lion Bar, and all those involved in securing the safe release of our Colleague, for the display of camaraderie during the period of trial.”
Emphasizing further, the Chairman of the Lion Bar said; “Members of the Benin Bar have been exceptionally wonderful and we thank God for answering our prayers. We also call on the Federal Government to ensure the security of lives and properties.”
It would be recalled that the Ekpoma-born Legal Practitioner was abducted along Asaba Road on the 15th of September, 2023, and was held for days in captivity before he was released on Tuesday night.
