The Agency says Manufacturers Who Still Have Empty Sachet And Glass Bottles In The Categories Should Report To The Agency
At a press briefing by the DG of NAFDAC, Prof Moji Adeyeye, she pointed out that alcoholic drinks in sachets, PET and glass bottles are pocket-friendly and can easily be carried around by the under-aged (Including Primary And Secondary School Children) Without Notice. It Is Easily Affordable And Comes Handy For Commercial Bus Drivers, Keke Riders, Okada Riders, Etc Who After Taking Them Constitutes Nuisance To The Society.
That The Negative Effect Of Consumption Of Alcoholic Drinks In Small Packs Sizes Of Alcoholic Beverages Are The Under-Aged And Commercial Vehicle Drivers And Riders.
Stating That To Tackle Harmful Effect Of Such Consumption Nafdac Has Banned The Production And Sales Of Alcohol In Sachet, PET And Glass Bottles In 200ml And Below
