The media team of the Dr. Azemhe Azena mandate has urged members of the public to discard unfounded information aimed at causing disaffection in the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.
A press statement signed by AUSTEN AKHAGBEME, Head, Media Team and made available to Newsmen on Thursday, June 06, 2024 reads:
“Our attention has been drawn to the fake news making the rounds in some blogs and social media spaces about the purported suspension of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Governorship Candidate, Dr Azemhe Azena, from the Party by the Ward 10 Chairman of his Etsako-East local government area.
“In the fake letter signed by an impostor, one Hon Kadiri Eshimokha as Chairman with Mrs Stella Afebua and Hon Eshiobo Johnson as Women leader and Youth leader respectively, who are not known to the party, especially at the Ward level, these mischief makers, in their figment of imagination, accused the esteemed Gubernatorial candidate of anti-party activity.
“It should be stated clearly that these self-acclaimed officers of the party in Ward 10 are fake and unknown to the Ward, much more to the Party.
“The Ward Chairman, Mr GODDAY JOSEPH IYAMAH together with the Women leader, Mrs Patricia Bello and the youth leader, Mr Garuba Paul are highly surprised at this development and will respond officially soon.
“All members of our great Party and lovers of the DR AZEMHE AZENA MANDATE should kindly disregard such unfounded information aimed at causing disaffection in our Party.
“We should rather continue to work as we’re doing already to ensure that our candidate succeeds at the polls thereby ushering in a government that the Edo people deserve come September, 21st.”
