Breaking: Gunmen Assassinate Ajiran King’s Son in Lagos

Tragedy struck the Ajiran community in the Agungi area of Lekki, Lagos State, as gunmen launched a brutal attack on Monday, August 26, killing Demola Akinloye, the first son of the Ojomu of Ajiran land, Tijani Akinloye.

The assailants reportedly ambushed Demola along Chevron Drive, near the popular Ebeano Supermarket, and shot him fatally before further butchering his body.
The gruesome assassination has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting widespread fear and concern among residents.

A source close to the incident confirmed the killing, describing it as a targeted attack. The motive behind the assassination remains unclear, but the brazen nature of the crime has left the community reeling.

In response to the attack, the management of an estate in the area issued a notice urging residents to avoid the Chevron, Agungi, and Ajiran areas for their safety.
The statement read, “This is to notify all residents that Ajiran (Agungi) king’s son was assassinated today along Chevron Drive (close to Ebeano Supermarket) this morning. We therefore plead to our esteemed residents to avoid Chevron area, Agungi and Ajiran for now for their safety.”

As news of the assassination spread, residents began deserting the area, fearing further violence. The police have yet to issue an official statement on the incident, and no arrests have been made at this time.
