Dubai, UAE: The Light + Intelligent Building Middle East, the region’s foremost trade fair for lighting and building technologies, is set to return from 14-16 January at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
Now in its 18th edition, the event will feature over 440 exhibitors from 33 countries, underscoring the Middle East’s growing role as a hub for sustainable innovation in the built environment.
The theme for 2025, “Building Commonality Through Community, Creativity and Culture,” highlights the need for cross-border collaboration and collective advancement within the building services sector. It aims to inspire conversations around unifying practices in lighting and smart technologies, building bridges between cultures, and fostering a collective commitment to sustainability.

The event will include a range of high-profile features such as the THINKLIGHT conference, the Smart Building Summit, and the Light Middle East Awards. The THINKLIGHT conference, a cornerstone of the event, will host over 30 distinguished speakers. Key sessions will focus on emerging lighting design trends in the region and the industry’s shared responsibility to achieve common goals in sustainability and energy efficiency.
Now in its third year, the Smart Building Summit is expected to be a major draw. The summit will explore transformative smart building technologies that optimise energy use, improve safety, and enhance occupant comfort. Special focus will be given to the implementation of new regulatory standards for smart buildings, as well as the introduction of fresh guidelines on calculating embodied carbon in building services.
Attendees can also look forward to InSpotLight, an interactive space dedicated to showcasing the latest trends and technologies in lighting. This includes the much-anticipated Specifiers’ Arena on the opening day, where finalists for the prestigious Light Middle East Awards ‘Product of the Year’ will pitch their innovative products.
The Light Middle East Awards, taking place on the final day of the event, will recognise the most influential lighting projects, products, and designers, celebrating excellence in the field.
In addition to the technical content, Light + Intelligent Building Middle East will feature six major product sections: Technical Lighting, Electric Lamps and Components, Decorative Lighting, Architectural Lighting, Electrical Engineering, and Smart Home and Building Automation. The exhibition is set to offer a comprehensive overview of the current and future trends shaping the built environment.
Co-located with Intersec, the leading trade fair for security, safety, and fire protection, Light + Intelligent Building Middle East will create the largest building services exhibition in the MENA region, providing attendees with unparalleled networking and business opportunities.
