Edo NLC Hails Governor Okpebholo on Tribunal Victory

The Edo State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has congratulated Governor Monday Okpebholo following the affirmation of his electoral victory by the Edo State Election Tribunal.

In a statement released to Uptown Press NG on Thursday and signed by the Acting Chairman of the NLC Edo State Council, Comrade Joman Bernard, the Congress expressed its support for the governor and his administration.

“On behalf of the hardworking workers of Edo State, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Edo State Council, extends its heartfelt congratulations to the Executive Governor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Denis Idahosa, on their victory at the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal,” the statement read.

The NLC described the tribunal’s decision as a positive development, adding that it symbolised greater opportunities for workers and residents of the State under the current administration.

“This victory is a sign of even greater things to come for Edo workers and the people of the state. Your administration has already exceeded expectations, and we look forward to continued progress,” Bernard added.

He further pledged the Congress’s commitment to working harmoniously with the government to advance the welfare of Edo workers and improve the State’s development.

“As we turn a new page for a rising Edo, the NLC assures you of our cooperation in building a better future for all. Once again, we say congratulations.”
