The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Distinguished Senator Neda Imasuen, has extended warm congratulations to Mr. Jude Atoe on his election as Secretary General of the Nigeria Judo Federation (NJF).
In a goodwill message issued by his office, Senator Imasuen described Atoe’s election as a remarkable achievement that reflects his “discipline, dedication, and passion for sports,” qualities he said are essential for the growth of judo and other sporting activities across Nigeria.
The Edo South lawmaker also commended the President and entire NJF Board for what he termed “a milestone in advancing Nigeria’s sporting future,” stressing the importance of unity and vision in sports administration.
Expressing confidence in Atoe’s capacity to deliver, Imasuen noted: “I have no doubt that his tenure will inspire excellence, nurture young talents, and elevate Nigeria’s standing in the international sporting arena.”
He further pledged his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote sports development and youth empowerment, particularly in Edo South, which he said has historically produced outstanding talents in various fields.
Senator Imasuen’s message comes at a time when stakeholders are calling for renewed energy and innovation in Nigeria’s sports sector, with expectations that the NJF under its new leadership will play a vital role in shaping future champions.
