President Bola Tinubu has nominated Dr Bernard Mohammed Doro from Plateau State as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy.
Dr Doro’s nomination comes on the heels of the appointment of Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July.
Born on 23 January 1969 in Kwall, Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, Dr Doro boasts over two decades of multidisciplinary experience spanning clinical practice, pharmaceutical management, strategic leadership, and community engagement in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
He holds degrees in Pharmacy and Law, an MBA with a focus on IT-driven business strategy, and a Master’s in Advanced Clinical Practice.
A seasoned Independent Prescriber and Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Dr Doro has served on the frontline of the NHS across urgent care, walk-in centres, GP practices, and hospital settings.
Beyond his professional career, he is also known for his youth mentorship and social impact initiatives, both in the diaspora and within local communities.
