Edo Assembly Dep Chief Whip, Dr Edosa Pays Tribute to Fallen Heroes on Armed Forces Remembrance Day

As Nigeria marked Armed Forces Remembrance Day, Dr Richard Edosa, member representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly (EDHA), has paid glowing tribute to the nation’s fallen military heroes, describing their sacrifice as the bedrock of the country’s freedom and security.

In a solemn message released on the occasion, Dr Edosa urged Nigerians to pause and reflect on the courage, valour and selflessness of men and women of the armed forces who laid down their lives in defence of the nation.

“Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation,” he said, noting that their commitment and heroism must never be forgotten.

He saluted fallen officers and soldiers who fought to preserve Nigeria’s unity and security, stressing that their memories should continue to inspire citizens to cherish peace and safeguard national stability.

Dr Edosa also extended words of comfort and solidarity to the families of deceased service personnel, acknowledging the pain of their loss and the enduring value of their loved ones’ sacrifice.

“To the families of the fallen, we stand with you in solidarity and gratitude. Your loved ones’ sacrifice will always be remembered,” he said.

Beyond remembrance, the lawmaker called on Nigerians to honour the legacy of fallen heroes by promoting peace, unity and patriotism across the country.

He further commended serving officers and soldiers currently deployed within Nigeria and beyond, praising their resilience, professionalism and unwavering commitment despite the challenges of modern security threats.

“To our gallant officers and soldiers currently serving, we salute your courage and dedication. You continue to stand firm in defence of our nation, inspiring hope and confidence in Nigeria’s future,” he stated.

Dr Edosa concluded his message with a solemn prayer for the repose of fallen heroes, reaffirming the nation’s debt of gratitude to those who paid the ultimate price in service to Nigeria.
