Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have killed at least 18 people in a fresh attack on communities in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The terrorists reportedly stormed Kirchinga and nearby settlements, opening fire on residents and setting homes ablaze, leaving many families displaced.
Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri has visited the affected area, expressing condolences to victims’ families and assuring residents of intensified security measures to prevent further attacks.
Local sources said the assault occurred at night, heightening fears among residents of renewed insurgent activity in the North-East region.
