The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District in the 2027 election, Hon. Dr. Ibraheem Adekunle, has announced a free skills acquisition programme targeting 1,000 youths across the district.
The initiative, according to the organisers, is designed to equip young people with practical skills and create opportunities for self-employment and income generation.
Adekunle was recently unveiled by the Osun State chapter of the APM as its candidate for the Osun Central senatorial contest.
The training is open to eligible residents across the 10 local government areas that make up Osun Central — Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu, Odo-Otin, Irepodun, Ifelodun, Boripe, Boluwaduro, Ila and Ifedayo.
Participants will receive free training in three vocational areas: Adire making, fashion designing, and liquid soap and shampoo production.
The organisers said interested applicants can register through the designated contacts for their preferred training category:
Adire Making: 07055433610, Fashion Designing: 08137730976, Liquid Soap & Shampoo Production: 08112960233
The programme is scheduled to commence in October 2026.
The initiative comes as political activities intensify in Osun Central ahead of the January 16, 2027 National Assembly election, with Adekunle and the APM positioning youth empowerment and grassroots engagement as part of their campaign activities.
