Former Osun State Governor, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, has withdrawn his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid, declaring that his earlier endorsement of the President has expired.

Oyinlola made the disclosure during an interview on Channels Television, where he was asked whether he still stood by the endorsement he gave Tinubu in 2025 ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

In a blunt response, the former governor said: “It has expired.”

His latest position signals a major shift in his political allegiance as consultations and alignments ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum.

Oyinlola has now thrown his weight behind Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in the race for the presidency, signalling his preference for the governor’s emerging presidential ambition.
