A cross section of civil servants that have been working for more than three years without salary stormed the Secretariat to vent their anger over the nonchalant attitude displayed by the CRSG towards their welfare.
Despite several pleas for a monthly take home which the government deliberately ignored, this came after series of meeting to assure them of immediate compliance by the govt.
They’re reiterating that they will keep restricting access into the secretariat until the governor come down and address them on the way forward.
They have threatened to shut down activities in the secretariat till their salaries are paid. It’s quite pathetic that the welfare of civil servants have been neglected for three years without thinking of how they’re surviving in this difficult economy with families to cater for.
