Federal Government on Tuesday revealed not less than 12.9 million cyberattacks from within and outside the country recorded during the just concluded Presidential and National Assembly elections.
This was made known by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Pantami. He said there were over 6.9 million attacks recorded on election day alone.
The Minister, however, said that the attacks were successfully blocked owing to the sophisticated infrastructure on grounds by different agencies of government charged with the responsibility of protecting the nation’s cyberspace.
