Adamawa Hospital Services Management Board Begins Recruitment Interviews

The Adamawa State Hospital Services Management Board (HSMB) has officially commenced recruitment interviews for prospective health practitioners across various fields, marking a major step in its ongoing drive to strengthen the state’s healthcare workforce.

Applicants from all 21 local government areas of the state are participating in the exercise, which is being conducted under the supervision of a high-powered panel. The panel is chaired by the Executive Chairman of the Board, Dr. Amzaranda Aidan Pugu, supported by the Board Secretary, Musa Babayi, Starlink Consultant, Mallam Sanusi Idris Medugu as well as other board members and directors.

Addressing applicants at the opening session, Dr. Pugu urged candidates to maintain decorum throughout the exercise. He stressed the importance of discipline, transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, assuring applicants that only merit would be the basis for selection.

Dr. Pugu further reiterated the commitment of Governor Ahmadu Fintiri’s administration to strengthening the healthcare system through massive investments in human capital development. He noted that the recruitment exercise reflects the government’s resolve to bridge manpower gaps in hospitals and ensure improved healthcare delivery to the people of Adamawa State.

The interview sessions, which began today, are scheduled to run until September 29, 2025, at the Main Conference Hall of the Board’s headquarters in Yola during which candidates will be assessed on professional competence, technical knowledge and ethical
