Ivory Coast managed to secure their spot in the next round of the 2023 AFCON tournament, especially after their abysmal group-stage performance.
Unlike other former champions like Ghana, Algeria, and Tunisia who exited the competition early, Ivory Coast faced a difficult campaign.
However, they received a second chance, courtesy of Morocco’s victory over Zambia, which allowed them to progress as one of the four best losers. The fixtures for the 2023 AFCON Round of 16 and their kick-off times have been announced, and it’s exciting to see how things will turn out.
