Members of the Afemai Civil Servants Forum in Edo State visited two prominent government officials on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to congratulate them on their recent appointments in Governor Monday Okpebholo’s administration.
The forum, representing Civil servants from Etsako, Akoko Edo, and other parts of Afemai land, separately visited Hon. Ahmed Musah, the Executive Director of the Edo State Flood, Erosion and Watershed Management Agency (EDOFEWMA), and Dr. Nelson Tenebe, Chairman of the Edo State Hospital Management Agency. The visits were held at their respective offices.
During the visit, Forum representatives J. I. Adamu and Alhaji Suleman Abbas conveyed the group’s collective congratulations and support for the two appointees. They highlighted that the forum’s members serve in various ministries, departments, and agencies within the state, including the Auditor General’s Office, Ministry of Communications and Orientation, and Ministry of Agriculture, among others.
Hon. Musah, in his response, expressed appreciation for the forum’s visit, underscoring the role of such gatherings in promoting unity and mutual support among civil servants from Afemai land. Reflecting on his previous service under the administration of former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Hon. Musah noted that the establishment of the forum marked a significant step towards fostering collective cooperation in the civil service, something that had been absent during his earlier tenure.
He assured the forum that he remained committed to supporting the development of Edo State and encouraged members to approach him for any assistance they may require.
Similarly, Dr. Tenebe, who described his appointment as divinely ordained, conveyed his deep gratitude for the visit. He expressed his eagerness to contribute to the welfare of all Edo State citizens, particularly the Afemai people, and pledged to offer support whenever needed.
