Prominent Nigerian evangelist, Funmilayo Adebayo, widely known as Mummy GO, has sparked controversy after declaring that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is not merely a technological advancement but a “fallen angel” and a “demon.”
In a video circulating on TikTok, the founder of the Rapture Proclaimer Evangelical Church of God warned that AI is more sinister than people realise.
Speaking in the clip, she stated: “Who is this AI that speaks? They just call it AI to make it sound harmless to you. It is not AI – it is a fallen angel and a demon.”
Her remarks have drawn mixed reactions, with some supporting her spiritual perspective while others dismiss her claim as alarmist.
