Alleged spiritual son of Apostle Suleiman and founder of the Prophetic Victory Voice of Fire Ministry, Gwagwalada, Abuja, Amos Isah, has been detained by the Federal Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) following allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl within the church premises.

The incident reportedly occurred in the church’s newly established auditorium office, which had been prepared by female church members but was not yet fully operational. According to family sources, Pastor Isah allegedly lured the girl under the pretence of seeking prayer and guidance, locking the doors behind them to prevent her escape.

Eyewitness accounts reveal that Isah, known for his charismatic sermons and public persona, engaged in a series of manipulative behaviours leading up to the assault. Family members disclosed that the pastor had previously preyed on underage girls, allegedly using his tinted-window vehicle to isolate them in secluded areas.

After the alleged attack, which the family claims left the victim injured, Isah reportedly attempted to silence her by providing a monetary “gift” of 3,000 Naira for medication, along with further threats against her life and that of her family should she choose to reveal the incident.

“This is not an isolated case; there are others involved, and investigations are ongoing,” a family member stated. They expressed deep concern about Isah’s history of exploiting vulnerable young girls, emphasising that one previous victim was not much older than the current victim at the time of her abuse.

The young girl, who is described as an only child, initially hesitated to disclose the incident even to her mother, fearing for her safety. However, the situation eventually came to light when she confided in her mother, who subsequently sought professional counselling support for her daughter. Fearing the repercussions, the girl requested that her father remain uninformed; however, upon learning the truth, he promptly reported the matter to the authorities.

Isah’s arrest has drawn widespread attention, with local residents expressing shock at the allegations, given his public advocacy for morality and spiritual well-being. The church, located near the bustling Gwagwalada Market, has been a significant hub for the local worship community.

As of the time of filing in this report, the Police authority in Abuja has not issued official statement, however, residents are calling for justice anf proper measures to protect those vulnerable to such predatory behaviour.
