Ibori who was on his way to Amassoma for the Amassoma “Seigbein oge” festival was received by Governor Diri, the Deputy Governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and other top Government officials.
Governor Diri said, “For us today, we are so happy to host you, sir. You are one man that we hold in very high esteem. From your days as Governor of Delta State, you gave leadership not only to Delta State but to the Niger Delta region.
Your bonding between yourself and our late Governor, Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha was second to none and that was why you were united in confronting the issues that confronted our people here in the Niger Delta. And so, for us, we see you as our own Governor the way we see the late Chief DSP Alamieyeseigha.
