The late Mrs. Patience Esohe Ugbo, a beloved wife, mother, and cherished member of her community, was honoured with a reception and Thanksgiving ceremony on Saturday in an atmosphere filled with love and remembrance.
Born in 1977, Mrs. Ugbo passed away earlier this year, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family.
The reception ceremony, held in her honour as part of the traditional funeral rites, took place in the heart of Benin City. Guests were treated to a well-organized event that celebrated her life, reflecting the values she embodied.
The event was not only a moment of mourning but also a celebration of the life she lived, surrounded by those who held her dear.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the ceremony, her first child, Ugbo Daniel, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of his mother.
“She was an incredible mother, and she was my everything,” Daniel said, his voice filled with emotion.
He went on to pledge his commitment to working hard to support and maintain the unity within the family, a testament to the values his mother instilled in him.
Mrs. Patience Esohe Ugbo is survived by her loving husband and three children, who will continue to carry forward her legacy. Her passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew her, but the memories of her kindness, strength, and unwavering support for her family will remain a source of comfort and inspiration.
