A report reaching Uptown Press has it that U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham has encouraged Israel to take whatever measures necessary to win its war against Hamas, likening the situation to the United States’ decision to drop nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII.
The senator, who represents South Carolina as a Republican, made the comments during an interview with NBC News on Sunday.
Graham referenced America’s decision to use nuclear weapons to end the war with Japan after the attack on Pearl Harbor, stating that it was the right decision at the time.
He added, “Give Israel the bombs they need to end the war. They can’t afford to lose.”
He Concluded, “So, Israel, do whatever you have to do to survive as a Jewish state. Whatever you have to do.”
