Bendel Insurance Football Club has unveiled Kennedy Boboye as its new Technical Manager, signalling a bold new direction for the Benin Arsenals.
The club’s management confirmed the appointment yesterday, announcing a substantive two-year contract for the Delta-born tactician. This decisive move follows a “thorough evaluation” of Boboye’s “proven track record” and extensive experience in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The appointment, effective immediately, concludes a brief interim period. The club has moved swiftly to fill the vacancy created just last week by the suspension of former Head Coach, Greg Ikhenoba
Management has expressed high optimism, stating that Boboye’s leadership is expected to “usher in a new phase of improved performance and renewed confidence” for the ongoing season
In a related development, the Edo State Sports Commission acknowledged the service of Coach Baldwin Bazuaye (MON), who stepped into the breach as Interim Technical Manager following Ikhenoba’s suspension.
The club will formally present their new manager to the press and public at an official unveiling ceremony in Benin City next Tuesday.
