Former Ambitiouz Entertainment artist Malome Vector, real name Bokang Moleli and two other musicians lost their lives in a car accident in the Free State.
The tragic incident occurred while they were en route to Lesotho for a music video shoot.
Sources close to the artists reported that the fatal accident happened when their car collided with a heavier vehicle near the Koppies turn-off on the N1 on Wednesday afternoon.
According to eyewitnesses, the collision was severe, resulting in the immediate death of the three male artists.
A source disclosed, “Three males died, a female sustained a moderate to serious injury and a male sustained a serious but salvageable injury. The bodies are at Kroonstad police station waiting for confirmation.”
The news has sent shockwaves through the music industry and among fans. One source commented, “I heard about it now, it’s heartbreaking, three people died.”
Malome Vector’s manager, Kagiso, was initially evasive when asked to confirm the reports but was later heard confirming the tragic news in a voice note shared with the publication.
The Free State Department of Health issued a statement confirming the details of the accident. “Their managers have been informed and have attended to the scene and the hospital to get full details of what happened and who was involved so that the next of kin can be decently informed,” said Free State health spokesperson Mondli Mvambi.
