The Pass of the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu to the Aso Rock has been withdrawn by the Presidency. Uptown Press can authoritatively report.
By this action, the embattled Minister has been denied access to the Aso Villa in Abuja.
Uptown Press reports that, the Pass allows top government officials to gain entry to the Villa and meet with President Tinubu.
A source close to the Presidency on Monday night told Uptown Press in a telephone conversation that the Pass of the suspended Minister to Aso Villa has been collected. The source, however, did not mention the officer who collected it for fear of being victimised.
President Tinubu had on Monday suspended the Minister over alleged misappropriation of funds meant for the empowerment of Nigerians.
The Special Adviser to the President, Ajuri Ngelale announced the suspension of the Minister in a statement on Monday.
