Defence Minister orders restructuring of military operations

Nigeria’s Defence Minister has ordered security chiefs to restructure military operations in the North-East and North-West. The Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, directed heads of the armed forces to visit the North West

Nigeria and North East Nigeria to review and reorganize how military operations are being carried out in the regions.

The directive was issued during a meeting held on Wednesday at the Defence Ministry, where Musa met with service chiefs to discuss the security challenges affecting the areas.

The minister’s media aide, Timothy Antigha, told TheCable that the security chiefs are expected to submit a report of their findings after visiting the areas most affected by insecurity.
