A young Nigerian lady has taken to the social media to narrate how God saved her from being initiated into witchcraft.
The lady, identified as Princess Adesola Oyebola while commenting on the gruesome murder of 12-years-old Dowen student in Lagos on Facebook admonished parents to always listen to their wards especially when they start complaining about their school.
She wrote:
The story of that 12year old boy (may his gentle soul rest in peace) made me wanna share a similar experience… So that you as parents would know its a necessity to pay CLOSE ATTENTION to your kids. Listen to them. Some children go de tell dia parents say them no like the school wey dem de go, but dia parents no go wan listen. Ask them why.. . Train your kids how to say no when given things outside, train dem how to bring whatever they were given outside home… All these things are important.
So I was in pry 1… Na me and few other kids de quick enter class cos whenever my dad was leaving for work, he’d drop me off at school . E kan get 7kids wey de my class then. Dem go de gimme different things like sweets, biscuits, pencils, erasers etc but bcos my mum had trained me never to eat out, and that I must always bring those things home, I no de chop dem. If dem gimme, I go just put dem inside my bag.
My mum had the habit of checking my bag after school. She’d check my books, etc and whenever she noticed any writing material which do not belong to me, she’d tell me to return those stuffs to the owners. As for the biscuits and co, na inside dustbin dem de end.
Believe me, every morning before the arrival of our class teacher, these 7kids wud drag me to the back of our sch, under a tree and there was a river not too far to our school then… They would beat me, pulled my hair for refusing to eat those things they gave me nor use the writing materials… It went on for a very long time until I decided to open up to my mum.
They wanted to initiate me.
After returning from school that day, marle de prepare my lunch.. So I told her I needed to speak with her.. She shoved me off. I sha kept disturbing her, she no answer me until a co tenant told her to at least listened to what I needed to say.. She then called me into our room.. Naso I downloaded everything for my marle..
Trust a typical naija mother, the ffg morning she told my dad she’d be the one to take me to school. My school then was at ikeja while we lived at ketu… We sha got to sch that morning, no teacher was around yet. Naso marle say make I begin fish those 7kids out, I did.. Naso my mama carry them go the exact spot dem de always beat me. She really dealt with them and warned them that if they ever laid a finger on me, she go skin them alive 😂😂😂 then she went back home. Throughout that day, they all avoided me.
The ffg morning, naso marle throw me inside fasting n prayers. I got to school and these same kids came to me and said “so your mum told you to fast and pray abi? That wicked mother of yours. Please tell her we won’t beat nor bug you anymore.
Naso God saved me from their clutches but I never resumed to the school the ffg term.
You see all those children ehn, the kain things wey some of dem de do for school, mouth no fit talk am finish but if dem de dia parents houses, dem go de do like angels.
Soon, I’d share an unforgettable experience I had as a class teacher.
Dessy.
