The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Comrade Festus Alenkhe, has extended heartfelt Easter greetings to all Christians and non-Christians alike, celebrating the profound significance of the season, which solidified Christianity globally.

In a statement released on the occasion of Easter, Comrade Alenkhe emphasised that the celebration brings a message of new beginnings, hope, and the promise of renewed life. The occasion, he said, serves as a time for deep reflection on the resurrection of Jesus Christ—an event marked by expressions of joy, gratitude, and love.

“The Cross that Jesus Christ bore was heavy, but He carried it to wipe away our sins,” the message noted. “The resurrection is a proof that the joy of everyone will be sustained, as demonstrated by His declaration, ‘It is Finished.'”
