A 20-year-old boy has allegedly killed his father in the Ijebu-North area of Ogun State just because of three body parts he needed to be rich.
Felix Mordi reports that, after strangling the father with a rope tied to his neck, the boy, simply identified as Ridwan severed deceased manhood, the larynx and removed four of his teeth, as was demanded by a witch doctor he consulted.
Sadly, he could not achieve his aim of getting rich quick, despite the gruesome killing, as law of retribution caught up with him shortly after.
He was said to have gone into hiding in the bush, from where he was smoked out by operatives of the Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps, codenamed So-Safe Corps.
Disclosing this dastardly act in a press statement issued by the So-Safe Corps Commader, Dr. Soji Ganzallo, through the Public Relations Officer (PRO), AC Moruf Yusuf, the incident occurred at Oshoku Village in Ijebu North Local Government Area of the state.
Officers of the Corps were on routine patrol of the axis at about 12:00m on Thursday, August 13 2023, and attracted by a distressful noise emanating from a building.
According to the statement, the officers were prompted to force their way into the building, only to behold a lifeless man lying in the pool of his own blood, while the alleged assassin took to his heels.
“On receipt of the information, the Corps Commader instructed the Zonal Commander, Ijebu Zonal Command, ACC Marcus Ayankoya, to get the suspected killer, Ridwan, arrested under 24hrs”, the statement revealed, adding that he was consequently trailed into the bush he went to take cover and was arrested.
Ridwan, it was gathered, “confessed to have killed his father, Ishau, with a rope tied to his neck and dissected his body with a knife, to remove the needed body parts for ritual purpose.
He has, however, kept mute on the location of the said witch doctor (Baba Kekere) he consulted for the wicked act
According to the statement, the alleged killer boy has been handed over to the Ogbere Division of the Nigeria Police for further investigation and prosecution
