Barr. (Dr) Asue Ighodalo, an aspirant for the governorship position in Edo State, on Monday spoke at an interactive session with members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Edo State. During the session, he shared his vision for the state, highlighting his plans to improve various aspects of the state’s infrastructure.
If elected as the governor of the state, Ighodalo pledged to prioritize education, roads, and other important infrastructural amenities that would make life easier and more meaningful for the people of Edo State. He emphasized the need to build on the achievements of past governments that had ruled the state, as well as to address any challenges facing the state.
In addition to his plans for infrastructure, Ighodalo also appealed to all stakeholders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state to come together and work towards the success of the party. He acknowledged that unity is key to achieving great things, and that it’s important to put aside any differences for the greater good.
He expressed his desire to make Edo State strong economically, by providing good infrastructures such as good roads, pipe-borne water, good hospitals, good schools, and many others for the people. He also pledged to give youths the opportunity to serve in his government, recognizing the importance of empowering young people to contribute their talents and energies to the development of the State.
According to him: ““I am here to serve Edo people and I can say that, I am the best man for the job. I hear people saying I am someone’s candidate, but I can tell you that I am nobody’s candidate.”
“All I will do is to bring my wealth of experience to bear having been Chairman of several top companies.
“I pledge to give youths the opportunity to serve in my government because the youths have talents to build the State. Be assured that, I am fully committed to the upliftment of our State and will give my life to ensure that”
Ighodalo’s passionate commitment to improving the lives of the people of Edo State is commendable. His plans to prioritize infrastructure and youth empowerment, as well as his emphasis on unity and collaboration, demonstrate his leadership potential and his dedication to public service.
