The Deputy Chief Whip of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Edosa Osaro Richard, has called for greater investment in the education and empowerment of girls as the world marks the International Day of the Girl Child.
In a statement issued by his Media Team on Saturday, the lawmaker representing Oredo West Constituency emphasised that every empowered girl represents “a brighter and stronger future for our communities.”
He urged leaders, parents, and mentors to create safe spaces where girls can “learn, lead, and thrive,” stressing that empowering girls translates into uplifting entire generations.
“Together, we can build a society where every girl’s dream is valid and her potential limitless,” Dr. Edosa said, reaffirming his commitment to promoting gender equality and youth development in Edo State.
