Edo Assembly Speaker appeals to Muslim Umah to intercede for 8th Edo Assembly during Hajj

The Speaker, Rt Hon. Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku, Edo State House of Assembly Rt Hon Chief Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku has appealed to intending Muslim Pilgrims to intercede for the Eighth Assembly as they embark on pilgrimage to the holy land.

The Speaker made this appeal when he led Muslim lawmakers on a visit to the Muslim Hajj Centre located at Dumez Road in Benin City to bid them farewell .

Addressing the pigrims, Rt Hon Agbebaku offered prayers to Allah to grant them safe trip to and fro the holy land of Mecca

He urged the pilgrims to remember the 8th Assembly in prayers as well as the state and nation.

The Chairman, Muslim pilgrims welfare board in Edo state, Sheikh Ibrahim Oyarekhua also offered prayers for the pilgrims.

Over three hundred Muslims from Edo State are set to embark on this year’s Hajj on Thursday, 23rd May 2024 to Mecca for thirty days.
