The Edo State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Bisi Idaomi, has expressed deep appreciation to political leaders, colleagues and well-wishers across the state for their overwhelming support following the death of his mother.
In a message released at the weekend, the commissioner described the period of bereavement as one of profound personal pain, softened only by the extraordinary outpouring of sympathy, prayers and solidarity from across political, professional and social circles.
Chief Idaomi said condolence messages from senior political figures and associates provided comfort and reassurance at a time of intense grief, noting that their gestures reflected a rare depth of humanity and shared responsibility.
He paid special tribute to honourable commissioners in various ministries, commending their sensitivity and respect, while also acknowledging the support of business partners whose messages, he said, demonstrated sincerity and enduring goodwill.
The commissioner further thanked family members, friends and well-wishers whose prayers and compassionate words, according to him, served as an emotional anchor and renewed his strength during the difficult period.
He described the collective show of kindness as a powerful reminder of the enduring bonds of community and the values of empathy that hold society together in times of loss.
Chief Idaomi concluded by offering prayers for all who stood by him, expressing hope that grace, peace and favour would continually rest upon them.
