Residents of Masaka and Maraba communities in Nasarawa State have received Ramadan relief packages from Edo Community Chief, Shehu Umoru Dikko, as part of efforts to support vulnerable families during the holy month.
The Ramadan outreach, which focused on compassion, generosity, and service, saw the distribution of essential food items to residents, particularly the less privileged and fasting Muslim households.
The palliatives are expected to ease the economic burden on many families and ensure they observe the fasting period with less hardship.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, Dikko emphasized the importance of unity, love, and charity, noting that Ramadan serves as a time for reflection and giving back to society.
“This season reminds us to care for one another and support those in need. Our strength as a community lies in sharing and lifting each other,” he said.
Beneficiaries and community leaders expressed gratitude for the timely intervention, describing the gesture as impactful and thoughtful. Many offered prayers for the Chief’s continued strength and prosperity.
