The lawmaker representing Oredo West Constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, Dr. Richard Osaro Edosa, has intensified development efforts in Oredo Ward 8 with a string of completed projects and empowerment programmes.
The interventions, fully executed and verified, cut across infrastructure, youth development and economic support, reflecting what observers describe as a focused grassroots development drive.
Key among the projects is the installation of a solar-powered borehole and streetlights at Akugbe Street, off MM Way, alongside additional streetlights in the area to improve security and night-time visibility.
Solar streetlights were also installed at Agbonmwonba Street and Ginua Street, while a previously non-functional borehole at the Igun Spare Parts area was reactivated and upgraded with solar power.
In the commercial sector, Edosa facilitated the construction of a roof structure at the Clothing Bay section of New Market on 2nd East Circular Road, providing better working conditions for traders.
Beyond infrastructure, the lawmaker extended economic support through interest-free loans to small-scale business owners, including beneficiaries in Ward 8.
Education and youth development also featured prominently, with the sponsorship of JAMB registration for students across the constituency and the training of over 200 youths in web design at Amena Academy.
Residents also benefited from empowerment initiatives such as the distribution of grinding machines and generators, as well as access to employment opportunities facilitated by the lawmaker.
