In the run-up to the Edo State governorship election set for September, a coalition of non-indigenes in the Ovia South West Local Government Area has declared full support for Senator Monday Okpebholo and Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
This endorsement was made during a meeting with Deputy Governorship candidate Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on Monday in Iguobazuwa.
The non-indigenes expressed their support for the All Progressives Congress candidates in the forthcoming election.
Godday Nwaeboh, the chairman of the non-indigene coalition in Ovia South West, highlighted Idahosa’s longstanding support for the group, predating his political career.
Nwaeboh stated, “Dennis Idahosa was instrumental in forming our group. He has consistently supported and patronized us.
Since becoming a member of the House of Representatives, he has set himself apart from his predecessors. We are confident that his leadership as deputy governor, alongside his principal, will bring more development to our communities.”
Addressing the gathering, Idahosa recounted his accomplishments as the representative of Ovia Federal Constituency and promised to advocate for the interests of non-indigenes if elected as Deputy Governor on September 21, 2024.
