The Aidonogie of South Ibie, HRH Alhaji Kelvin Danesi II, has ordered an intensified clampdown on crime, drug trafficking, and other illicit activities within his kingdom, vowing that offenders will face the full weight of the law.
Addressing worshippers shortly after the Juma’at service last Friday, the monarch urged residents and indigenes to remain vigilant, work closely with security agencies, and reject any acts that could tarnish the community’s image.
“Security is everyone’s business. We must know those living among us and keep an eye on our children,” HRH Danesi said.
The royal father revealed that a woman allegedly involved in human trafficking was recently arrested on his orders by the community’s vigilante group and handed over to the police for prosecution.
Declaring an outright ban on the sale of illicit drugs in South Ibie, the monarch directed the local vigilante group and youth association to ensure strict enforcement of the new measures. He warned that the era of criminal activities thriving in the community was over.
“This is not business as usual. Anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law,” he stressed.
HRH Danesi called on all residents to play their part in safeguarding the peace and security of the kingdom, noting that protecting the community’s reputation is a shared responsibility.
