The Senator representing Edo North Senatorial district at the upper legislative chamber of the National Assembly on Monday commissioned a number of projects at Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government of Edo State.
Among projects commissioned were a fully equipped dialysis centre at the Auchi Central Hospital dedicated to the treatment of patients having kidney challenges, two blocks of three classrooms each at Momoh Primary School and solar powered streetlights at mechanic village.
While commissioning the dialysis centre, the Senator said it is the first in Edo North and well equipped with modern facilities to properly care for the health of the people.
He urged the people to secure the facility against vandalism.
“This Centre belongs to all of us. I want to implore all in the community to have regard for government property and protect it against vandalism.”
While receiving the lawmaker, the Headmistress of Momoh Primary School, Hajia AZ Momoh expressed gratitude for his kind gesture.
She said the two blocks of three classrooms each has reduced the problem of accommodation for the pupils of primary four, five and six of the school.
She promised that the facilities will be judiciously utilized.
Senator Alimikhena was elected to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as the All Progressive Congress candidate from Edo North 15th March, 2015.
He was the only elected All Progressive Congress Senator in the entire South-south and South-Eastern part of Nigeria in the 2015 general election.
Alimikhena has sponsored several Bills in the Senate among which are; Agricultural Processing Zones Establishment Bill 2016, Chartered Institute of Capital Market Registrar (est., etc) Bill 2015, Establishment of National Commission for Persons with Disabilities.
