The Edo State Police Command has bolstered its crime-fighting efforts with the acquisition of new operational vehicles aimed at enhancing security across the state.
Announcing the development in a statement on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Moses Yamu, highlighted the force’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents.
Commissioner of Police, CP Betty Enekpen Isokpan Otimenyin, psc, mnips, extended her appreciation to Governor Monday Okpebholo, commending his dedication to security as he marks his first 100 days in office.
According to the Commissioner, the newly acquired vehicles will be strategically deployed across the three geopolitical zones of the state as part of a security initiative dubbed ‘Operation Rescue’. This operation is designed to tackle violent crimes and strengthen law enforcement capabilities.
Reaffirming the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, the police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities.
