Edo Public Safety Commissioner, Ebea Calls for Stronger Collaboration to Boost Safety, Security

The Edo State Commissioner for Public Safety and Security, Hon. Festus Ebea, has called for stronger collaboration among all agencies under his ministry to enhance safety and security across the state.

Speaking during a management meeting with heads of the various agencies in Benin City, Ebea stressed that synergy and cooperation were vital to achieving meaningful progress, regardless of individual expertise or capacity.

He noted that Governor Monday Okpebholo was fully aware of the challenges facing the ministry and assured that deliberate efforts were underway to address them.

The commissioner condemned the recent attack on fire service officers while responding to an inferno in the state, warning those responsible and others engaging in such acts to desist immediately.

Ebea emphasised the need for effective communication among stakeholders, saying it was critical to improving coordination and service delivery.

In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs Queeneth Orobedo, urged heads of agencies to remain prompt, disciplined, and dedicated to their duties, while reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to supporting their operations.

Agency heads in attendance pledged to intensify their efforts in line with the governor’s vision of protecting lives and property across Edo State.

The meeting was attended by top officials of the ministry and representatives of its various agencies.
