Edo Queens FC has clinched the prestigious title of Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership champions for the first time in their history after securing a 1-1 draw against Bayelsa Queens at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
This hard-earned point propelled the Benin City side to the top of the NWFL Super 6 standings with a total of 10 points.
As a result, they have earned the right to represent Nigeria at the 2024 CAF Women Champions League, pending qualification from the WAFU Zone B Qualifying Tournament.
This remarkable feat signifies a significant milestone for the team, solidifying their status as a dominant force in the realm of women’s football.
