Recruits recently enlisted into the Edo State Security Corps have been given until Monday, 26 May 2025, to report at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Permanent Camp in Okada for the commencement of their training.

This directive was issued by the Edo State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Hon Paul Ohonbamu, who emphasised the importance of punctuality in a statement released in Benin City.

The Commissioner noted that while Thursday, 22 May 2025, was the designated reporting date, all recruits must be present at the camp no later than Monday, or risk forfeiting their place in the training programme.

Those reporting for training are required to arrive fully prepared with specific personal items, including two pairs of white round-neck vests, two pillowcases, one pair of white canvas shoes, two pairs of white socks, cutlery, food flasks, two blue shorts, a bucket, a broom, shaving kits, and writing materials.
