The Edo State Government has officially launched the 2024 Business Enabling Reforms Action Plan (BERAP), a significant initiative designed to stimulate the State’s economic growth.
This development was confirmed by Genius Hub to Uptown Press, emphasizing its potential to bolster the local economy.
The launch took place during a one-day private sector consultation forum organized by the Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO) in collaboration with the Sustainable and Inclusive Economic Development for Decent Employment in Nigeria (GIZ-SEDIN) Programme.
This comprehensive plan targets the primary challenges faced by businesses in Edo State and outlines specific action points across eight critical areas.
Genius Hub, a key stakeholder, revealed that it has already trained over 1,000 businesses across the State. The organization expressed confidence that the BERAP will significantly improve the business climate, fostering a more conducive environment for enterprises to thrive.
“Government has no business in being in business but their business is to create an enabling environment for businesses,” stated Genius Hub, underscoring the philosophy behind the new reform plan.
