The Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Oil and Gas, Barrister Felix Osemwengie Isere, paid an impromptu visit to the Ministry of Energy and Mining in Benin City today.
The visit served as an opportunity to engage with the ministry’s Permanent Secretary and staff, aiming to foster collaboration and outline a forward-looking vision for the state’s Oil and Gas sector.
Barrister Isere was briefed by key officials, including directors and staff of the Oil and Gas Directorate, who provided insights into the ministry’s current activities, achievements, and challenges. The exchange offered a comprehensive overview of the sector’s operations and highlighted areas requiring strategic focus.
In his address, Barrister Isere underscored Governor Monday Okpebholo’s determination to position Edo State as a leader in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas industry. He emphasised the importance of leveraging the sector as a catalyst for economic development, job creation, and increased revenue. Barrister Isere also reiterated the administration’s commitment to sustainable practices that balance economic growth with environmental stewardship.
The Adviser expressed his readiness to work closely with the ministry, pledging to maintain open channels of communication and collaboration to ensure the effective execution of government policies and initiatives.
