Tragedy struck on Monday when an official from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), identified as Mr. Sylvanus, collapsed and tragically passed away in Lagos.
The late Mr. Sylvanus, who had recently been transferred from the EFCC office in Lagos to Makurdi, Benue State, was on leave at the time of the incident. Sources revealed that he had left his family home early in the morning with plans to visit Surulere but collapsed on the street before reaching his destination.
Eyewitnesses reported that attempts to revive him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter. The exact cause of his sudden death has not yet been determined, and no official statement from the EFCC has been issued as of now.
Colleagues and friends have expressed deep sorrow over his passing, remembering him as a diligent and committed member of the EFCC team. They have paid tribute to his work ethic and dedication to his role. Further details are expected once the cause of death is confirmed.
