…urges faithful to pray for peaceful gov election As muslims in Nigeria join their
counterparts around the world in celebration of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr Godwins Marvellous Omobayo, has felicitated with the muslim community in Edo State and Nigeria at large.
In his message in commemoration of the sacred event, the Deputy Governor stated: “I felicitate with our muslim brothers and sisters on this auspicious occasion of the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir”.
“Eid-el-Kabir is a sacred season which calls for sober reflection of your service to Almighty Allah and indeed, relationship with fellow Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religion.
“More than ever before, Nigeria is in dire need of compatriots with zeal and zest to promote the values of peace, love and unity, for the progress and development of a greater nation.
“For me, this represents the essence of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration by muslim faithful all over the world.
“Therefore, as a people bound together by destiny, let us imbibe the lessons of the season and manifest the virtues of sacrifice, togetherness, mutual respect and fear of Almighty Allah”.
“At this juncture, l wish to specially congratulate our muslim faithful and by extension, our good people of Edo State and Nigerians in general, on this very important occasion”.
“As the September 21 governorship election beckons, let all hands be on deck and pray for peace and tranquility to reign before, during and after the election”.
“At this critical stage of our history, it is imperative to note that we cannot afford to get it wrong in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo State. And if we must get it right, we should work assiduously to sustain and surpass the developmental strides recorded in our state in the last seven and half years”.
“I want to strongly appeal to one and all to look beyond party affiliation and vote for the best candidate with capacity and experience in the upcoming election in the interest of our people, in order to Make Edo Great Again”.
“Like the progressive-minded people that we are, your support for Asue lghodalo is a sure guarantee for continuity and consolidation of the good work of Governor Godwin Obaseki-led administration”.
“Once again, let me congratulate our muslim brothers and sisters. This is wishing all Nigerians, happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration”. Omobayo added.
