Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress, (NLC), TUC, NURTW, pensioners in Edo State held appreciation rally for the State governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki on Tuesday in Benin City.
NLC Chairman in Edo State, Chief Odion Olaye in his address stated that, the governor has brought massive transformation to the State, hence the need to vote in people who will work with the governor to achieve further development in Edo State
Responding, governor Obaseki said: “The most important element in any society are the workers and without workers, you cannot have government, buildings alone do not make the government but the people who work in government”
Also speaking at the rally is the State chairman of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, Pullen Noruwa who said that, it was when governor Godwin Obaseki came into office that all the entitlements of Pensioners were received.
They pledged to vote all the PDP candidates in the coming House of Assembly election slated for Saturday, March 18, 2023.
